An early model of Crescent Rose

Ruby built Crescent Rose when she attended Signal Academy, like the rest of the students who attended. She based her weapon on Harbinger, the weapon of her uncle Qrow Branwen, who was also a teacher at the school and taught her scythe fighting.
During her travels across Anima, Crescent Rose gained scratches and the blade became chipped due to usage. Following the fall of Beacon Academy, Crescent Rose has noticeable scratches on the paint and blades, and the blades also have a number of small dents along the edges. The scope also has a noticeable crack in its lens.
When Ruby arrived in Atlas, Crescent Rose gained an upgrade from Pietro, allowing Ruby to rotate the blade head around, letting her use it to attack in both sides.

During his first life Ozma had tanned skin with messy brown hair and brown eyes. He originally wore a blue-green tunic with a tan undershirt, a blue cape and black trousers with brown boots. Both his tunic and cape are outlined with golden markings. Over this, he wears metal armor held by brown belts and straps. The armor is etched with ornamental patterns.
First IncarnationEdit
The first reincarnation of Ozma was still tanned but had platinum blond hair. He at first wore a white tank top, leather gloves and boots, and brown pants, along with a blue sash tied around his waist and a pendant with a green jewel. By the time Ozma decided to alongside Salem become a god-like figure to mankind, he wore a more regal attire, featuring a dark gray coat with black shoulder pads along with details in light blue and dark blue cuffs. Under his coat, he wore a dark blue dress shirt with light blue linings and details and donned white gloves upon his hands. He also wore gray pants and black shoes.

В отличие от привычных трейлеров, содержащих нарезки из грядущего сериала, трейлеры RWBY представляли из себя самодостаточные короткометражки, рассказывающие каждая свою историю, играя скорее роль приквела чем трейлера. Каждый трейлер немного приоткрывал предысторию главных героев.

Эпизоды

RWBY: Том 1
Первый эпизод сериала был показан участникам RTX 2013 (5-7 июля 2013, Остин, штат Техас). В открытом доступе первый эпизод был показан 18 июля 2013. RWBY: Том 3
На PAX Prime 2014 Монти подтвердил, что RWBY продлен на 3 том. Третий том так же содержит 12 эпизодов, примерно по 16 минут каждый. Премьера первого эпизода 3 тома состоялась 24 октября 2015.
Третий том ввёл измененный формат выхода эпизодов, так, спонсоры Rooster Teeth получали доступ к эпизоду на сутки раньше его выхода в открытый доступ. Время выхода так же было изменено с вечера четверга, на утро воскресенья (субботы для спонсоров). Как и раньше, эпизоды выкладывались на Youtube спустя неделю после выхода на сайте Rooster Teeth. Также по средам, в недели выхода эпизодов, выкладывались короткие 30-секундные ролики «В следующих сериях RWBY».
За каждым третьим эпизодом следовал выпуск RWBY: Мир Ремнанта. В пустующие недели показывались: благотворительная трансляция Rooster Teeth Extra Life (8 ноября 2015), RWBY Lifestream (9 декабря 2015). Так же 12 февраля 2016 на сайте Rooster Teeth проводилась трансляция RWBY Volume 3 Hype Stream — где команда создателей, в подведение к финалу, смотрела и комментировала выпущенные эпизоды 3 тома.
3 том был выпущен на DVD/Blue-ray 3 мая 2016.
RWBY: Том 4
Руби в короткометражке для 4 тома.
4 том стартовал 22 октября 2016 года. As its name implies, Crescent Rose’s frame is colored rose red and has black trims, with its large scythe blade forged into a crescent shape.
The most notable property of Crescent Rose is its converting frame, which allows it to transform between three different modes:
- A «storage» mode, its most compact form convenient for transportation, stored underneath Ruby’s cloak at her waist.
- A «rifle» mode, where it takes the form of a medium-length, bolt-action rifle. In this form, the absence of the scythe makes for more effective use of the rifle component.
- A «scythe» mode, its most expanded form, where it fully extends into the form of a scythe, allowing it to be used as a mid-to-close-range bladed melee weapon. This form also doubles as a long-barrel sniper rifle for long-range shots without giving up the melee capabilities of the scythe. If needed, the bottom of the shaft can unfold to add more cutting power in a close-quarters fight.
It is implied by Ozpin that a scythe-wielder of skill equivalent to either Ruby or Qrow Branwen would be necessary for effective use of Crescent Rose. In particular, the user would have to deal with Crescent Rose’s massive recoil.
Rather than attempt to compensate for it, Ruby harnesses the recoil to enhance her mobility in combat, firing shots to propel herself short distances, simultaneously attacking and evading opponents. She also uses her weapon’s recoil to launch herself into the air, as demonstrated when she is launched into the air by Weiss Schnee while facing the Nevermore.
In melee combat, Ruby can fire a shot immediately before a swing, using the recoil to increase the force and speed of her attack. She can also embed the scythe’s blade into the ground to prevent the weapon’s recoil from throwing off her aim with the sniper rifle component, allowing for rapid, accurate shots.
The «unfolded» scythe form
The scythe also has a small, hook-like, double-pronged, jagged blade at the bottom of the shaft. Ruby can unfold the scythe, allowing for both the normal blade and the two prongs to slice enemies at the same time for more power. In this form, the muzzle is also rotated 90 degrees which enables the recoil to rotate Ruby instead of launching her forward increasing the slicing power drastically. The scythe can also be thrown in such a way that it returns to the user.
Atlas UpgradeEdit
After arriving in Atlas, James Ironwood has Pietro Polendina upgrade Crescent Rose, giving Ruby the ability to activate a trigger on the upper handle that will then rotate the scythe’s blade 180 degrees. This is first displayed in the Schnee Dust Company Mine #2, when Ruby slays a Centinel through the use of her rotated blade.
Summary
Ruby Rose is the 15-year old leader of Team RWBY attending Beacon Academy two years early, due to her abilities impressing the headmaster. Trained by her Uncle Qrow, Ruby wields a unique weapon named Crescent Rose, a cross between a scythe and a high-caliber sniper rifle that is able to fold up into itself. Her semblance is speed, enabling her to run at rates that are too fast for the eye to catch. As she is the youngest of the group, she can be a bit childish, naive, and weapon-obsessed, but displays leadership qualities and an understanding of people that ultimately led her to be chosen as Team RWBY’s leader. She was inspired to become a Huntress by the fairy tales her half-sister Yang read her, wanting to become just like the heroes in the stories. She is determined to make the world a better place for others and try to stop the forces that conspire against it.

In his original life, Ozma was a renowned warrior considered to be of legendary prowess. He was able to best large creatures and challenges where many other warriors could not. Over time with his incarnations, Ozma’s combat skills became sharper. His initial weapon was a long scepter he used as a conduit for his magic. Ozma’s more recent incarnations use The Long Memory.

As one of the original Humans during the time of the Gods, Ozma is capable of performing powerful feats of magic, such as large energy blasts channeled through his scepter. At the time of Humanity’s second emergence, his powers were so great that people worshipped him alongside Salem as gods. Over the course of his many incarnations, he gave away parts of his magic, such as the case with the Maidens as well as the Branwen twins. In the present, his magic is a fraction of what it once was.
